Meetings with the Ambassador

Ever since the Youth Council's founding in 2018, one of our periodical activities have been meetings with the U.S. Ambassador in Prague. With the now-former Ambassador Stephen B. King, we regularly met in his study in the Schönbrunn Palace, his Petchkova Villa residency, or online.

The meetings' main purpose is to discuss the ongoing political development and other current issues at home and abroad. It is also an opportunity to cover the Council's agenda, priorities, successes, or activity on social media. The underlying topic of discussion between the Council and the Ambassador has been the engagement of young people in politics and various ways of how to communicate the Embassy's message to young generations. Ambassador King was always happy to talk about these issues, offer us guidance and advice, and express his support for our endeavors.
